Even the mimosa, so typical of the landscape of the Alpes-Maritimes and Provence, came from far away. Imported from Tasmania, the Acacia Dealbata pleased the English so much that they not only cultivated it at home, but spread it to the south of France where they wintered. The essential oil, with beneficial calming powers, was produced for the first time in the 1940s. In revisiting it for us, Jean Claude captured the light spirit of spring. And, like the great perfume composer that he is, he signs a Mimosa Tanneron which is an ode to tenderness, sweetness and the first emotions of love, hinted at in the middle notes of Rose and Hawthorn.
